Don't go cheap on your spindles if you decide to go that route.
is there a company you would recommend?

Have had 3" spindles on my 06 1500 for years, they don't add any more wear than normal to the front end. Bigger tires will obviously be a little harder on the hubs and brakes, but those are both cheap and easy to replace down the road. Fabtech has always been a good spindle company, don't know who else is out there now.

The spindles are nice as it doesn't change the ride or geometry at all, and gives you more clearance under the control arms as well.

Just did the three inch spindles on my 2003 Dodge. No problems at all, just a re alignment. Rides just like it did before the lift

noticing your front wheels sticking out more than the rears?
