Maybe it has something to do with having the correct flow of air to discharge, but on a whim, why wouldn't you put the fans on the inside of the cooler so they aren't sucking in hot air?

Where would it get air to discharge?

Where did you buy your fans from? I haven't found any that were a 100cfm. I made one a few months ago. I haven't really tested it yet, but it doesn't seem to blow very good. It's just one of those automotive fans from Wal-Mart and 2 2" pvc elbows.

              Your outputs aren't big enough.

That's what I was thinking, but I figured 4" would be sufficient. So do you think I should add 1 or 2 more outputs?

                    I would re-do those bigger.

Spreading the cool air around just decreases its effectiveness, and fewer/larger outputs seem to be far more efficient.

Ok. I made it for camping, hence the 2 outputs. I figured I could put it in the middle of the tent, point them to both sides while sleeping(if 2 people are in the tent). So if your suggesting make them bigger, about how much bigger are you thinking? Or am I asking for too much, and just need to make two of them for that purpose? I've also thought about adding another fan to it to maybe help.

Dernit, now I gotta build one of these. Last thing I needed was another project to tinker with. Thanks TBH![emoji52]

Anybody wired a potentiometer inline, or a speed controller, to control the fan speed? Thinking I may for whatever reason. Found some 200cfm computer fans on amazon for under $20. Going to buy a few to make some of these soon.

Got a link for the fans?

Wondering if the fans work better pulling or pushing air into the cooler. I built a 5 gallon bucket cooler for camp with 120v fan but still need to adapt a 12v fan and see how it works.
