Open pit style like Coopers and Hard 8 is a big timing game. Some stuff winds up setting there too long and they don't always rotate it out after it's past prime.

Anyone ever eat at Lee's over in Haslet? It's been there a very long time, it's bound to be pretty good but I've never stopped in for some reason.

Been there a few times. its not bad. The owner is a black man and he runs the show. Texas Pit in Saginaw with the big yellow smiley face is dang good! Drove by it 9000 times over the years and never stopped. Well we stopped there a couple of years ago and we keep going back!!!

The big chop and the pork ribs are pretty dang good with the awesome dippin sauce.

It was different. But I just like BBQ like I like craft beer. I don't exactly not like none of it!

Plus it's cool to try BBQ in ways that other folks make it.

I've lived in FW my whole life. Lots of great BBQ joints and there's been a lot of great suggestions here.
My only real thought is that Angelos is to BBQ what Joe T's is to Mexican - someplace to take tourists, but not my first choice for good eatin'.

I've lived in Haslet since before Lee's opened, we don't eat there. We did try it years ago, never again. But, I have some friends that really like it.

Amen!!! The only reason that they get all the hype is because the beer is really cold!!!!!

Only real BBQ comes out of the ground.

I prefer my beef to live above ground before I eat it.

Angelo's cold beer makes their BBQ edible.

It's not your typical BBQ but the Woodshed is awesome.

Lee's Is very good. But he's in no hurry.

He was on some cooking show a long time ago and was rated one of the best places back in the day.

                        In the Country and Great!

Here I go again...google LOCO COYOTE, about 30 minutes from Burleson AND the BEST BBQ I have ever had! Not going to say where it's at since I get "bashed" time to time but I will say this: Texas Monthly named it one of the BEST 10 BBQ places in Texas. If you like "mixing" with REAL Cowboys, Bikers, ALL kinds of folks...it's the best IMO

                          Dale,
I went there...once. All I have to say about that. The new Country Boys bbq off of bus 287 is pretty good. It is between the catfish grill and Tinsley.
