PSE is as good as any bow if it fits and feels right to you.
I am no PSE homer. Have owned most major brands. But, an upper model PSE is as good as any. I last shot Mathews and switched to PSE. Like PSE just as much.

Hoyt fan here but currently shoot an Elite because I got a deal I couldn't refuse. If I'm paying full price I'd probably shoot a Hoyt.

        Hoyt - balanced yet heavy
        PSE - speed yet loud
Bear - speed yet crappy riser and grip
Bowtech - speed yet balance issues
        Mathews - pretty yet slow
        Elite - smooth yet slow

        Tough choice.

My sons dream season will surprise you at how quiet it is. It did me.

One thing that bows and trucks have in common: brand loyalty is not the best approach. Unless you have one of those companies paying your bills I would shoot them all and pick whatever you like best. Your priorities are going to help decide which bow works best for you. As far as I know they are all made in the USA so that fella that was ****** at Ford the other day can calm down.

My 1st bow was a Diamond Outlaw. I thought it was a good way to go for my 1st bow and deciding exactly how far I was going to dive into this archery thing. In hindsight, I still think it was a good idea not to spend to much money to try something new. My 2nd bow, which I still have as as my primary bow, is a 2014 Hoyt Faktor. There is no doubt it is a much nicer feeling bow. It's infinitely quieter and smoother. I'm also a bit more accurate with it. But, that probably has alot to do with the Spott Hogg Hunter sight that I put on it. Bottom line, I love my Hoyt. That being said, I would still be willing to try different brands when the time come to add to my collection.

Best bow on the market, that's why I shoot a Hoyt .

Actually, as others have said, you should just go try one out and see how it feels to you. I know when I bought my 2013 Carbon Element it felt 100 times better than my 8 year old bow I was shooting at the time. I actually liked the Mathews bow I shot as well, I think it was the Chill. The new Mathews No-Cam bow sounds like a great shooter too, but I haven't tried it, and I won't be trying it because I probably won't be looking at bows for a while.....spent way too much on that over priced Hoyt!!

Find a product that your local pro shop carries and services. IF NOT be prepared for issues. Pretty much personal preference. I have shot them all more than once and although there are noticeable differences the top product lines have very good equipment. Good luck

I was writing fast. Yes to me it was. I cannot shoot a pse. Draw cycle is to much for me. I could not get used to it. And I tried. Course I was shooting the full throttle. I'm a speed person. The Hoyt just took me a bit and I got it. So for me yes he Hoyt is better.

The op asked an opinion. And that is what I gave. My opinion.

He needs to go shoot bows. He may find bowtech may fit him.
I agree with every one. It's all in the feel. I shot a carbon turbo the other day. For me the grip was horrible. Took me a bit to get it figured once I did no problem. The draw curve on the bow was also horrible for me. I like a bow that is rolls of at the back of the curve the turbo builds to the back. Hard on my shoulder. But once I got used to it no problems.

I was looking hard at the turbo. What stopped me was for my 26.5 draw it's at the bottom of #2 cam. If it would have been at the top of #1 cam I prolly would own one.

You do need to shoot as many bows as you can. When you shoot that one bow that fits you will know.

After saying all of that. To answer your question. Yes Hoyt is better the pse. In my opinion.

Ditto. Whether in the field or on the 3D range, I get a lot of complements on how quiet my Evo is.

I shot the Hoyt and it was a nice bow but it sounded loud to me and the speed didn't match up with my Evo so I just couldn't justify the price. As mentioned before though, they are built like tanks.

Haha. I was hoping you would say something about my bleeding liberal comment. You no that was funny haha. I'm horrible about writing from my phone. I just write short hand. When reading my post you have to learn to read between the lines.

Again I tried on the full throttle. I'm short so I like the speed so I can shoot heavy arrows. Hm shoot heavy arrows, slows bow down, but I like speed. Haha

I've been called many things, but liberal was never one of them. I just assumed you had me confused with legdog or 1869

I understand what you're saying. All bows will have different characteristics at different draw lengths and poundage. It's all in the users preference.

At 48, I prefer the fastest bow I can get @ 60# or below.
