I saw one suday night with a fawn that looked like it was only a week old or so! It had wobbly legs and spots and really little and ran really awkwardly i guess there was a LATE rut!!

She's probably married so she thinks it doesn't matter anymore.

That is a dangerously true statement. The danger comes when you tell your wife what is true. Don't recommend doing it.

If you decide to let the air out of her, I hope she doesn't take off like a balloon.

She's pregnant. Since she's an older, mature doe, she shouldn't have any problems. Just makes it a little harder on the fawn if there's an early cold spell or depleted food sources.

Did you by chance leave and basketball by the feeder?

Yeah I'd say she is prego.

Neither, just keeping my wife off this thread. I'm smart like that.

My deer lease neighbor has a young doe that started hangin around his house last yr. from about Oct. on. She was so little that he didn't think she would breed until this yr., but she went missing for a few days in Feb., and she went missing for 4 or 5 days again about Sept 1st. She showed up in his yard last week with a baby fawn. This is near Gonzales tx.

I hunted at Fort Boggy a few yrs back. It was around the middle of Oct. On the last morning of the hunt, I had a doe come in from behind me and had her broadside 14 yds to the left of me. Perfect since I'm a right handed shooter. As I drew back on her and puttin my pin on her, this fawn runs up and nudges the back of her. This little fella couldn't have been 2 to 3 weeks old. I eased off and let her walk. Hard to believe they can have one so late, but I guess it happens.
