Doe pregnant at end of August??

Is it just me or was this doe still pregnant as of August 18? Either that or she has some major bloating going.
My first guess was that she did not get bred until her second cylce but that should of put her due 1st week or so of August.....Any ideas?

Yes, A doe that is not bred in her first cycle - will come into heat again 28 days later. If not bred the 2nd time around she will cycle again.
Where is your place located ?

She really does look pregnant. Are there any other photos you have of her? You might be able to go back on the photos and maybe see a progression. If she all of the sudden just popped up, there is no telling, but it is possible she is pregnant (at least she looks it).

looks like some of the freshman girls here at TSU after the end of the first semester. (freshman 15+++++)

Yes, my guess would be that she is pregnant. Her fawn, if it is a buck, will probably have a small set of antlers the first time around as a result of being dropped so late.

We had three fawns born on September 6th and 7th. All of our does were AIed at the same time then placed with cover bucks. These late fawns came from the cover bucks and I figure the does had have been bred in early February.

either bred late or she is just overdue...or both. Just like humans, babies come when they want to.
