I shot my muskox and Canadian moose with the Carbon injexion and 100 grain solid. I just shot my grizzly with an fmj injexion and solid 125. I trust them and they have performed well for me. Fly great and penetrate like crazy. The heads are sharp. They have been plenty tough enough for me although the one from the muskox did bend and have a break in the blade. It hit the off shoulder and the animal died so I consider it all good.

Yeah i was gonna go with the 125 in either model. But I really like that new ATAC. I really like the collar that comes back over the arrow. But I really like that Solid too!!!
That atac looks pretty good and beefy. I understand the collar thing and protecting the end of the shaft. I have never had a problem with breaking the shaft with hit inserts and I have either shot Easton axis or injexions for years. I would be interested in a collar if it was easy to use and available. I like the direction vpa is going with their deep six heads and footer/collar. That solid 125 looks like a hatchet up front of those injexion arrows. I was worried it wouldn't fly real well. Flew great out to 100 yds for me. I have read about the atac but no reviews and haven't held one in my hand. I'm sure they will be great but I like the solids.
I cannot comment on the BH, however I will not use the arrows.
I would never use the Deep Six arrows again based on my experience. Obviously others have used with good results.
The problem that I have with them is that the insert for the arrow sits within the shaft, leaving a gap between the top of the insert and the thin shaft of the BH. Shot and hit bone, breaking the BH off at that very gap between the thin shaft and top of arrow insert. Where the BH sheared off was the area where the BH is only covered by the arrow itself. Could look inside the arrow and see where the BH sheared off at top of HIT insert. Never again.

I have heard of this but have never had it happen. I have shot hit inserts since they came out. Both axis and injexion. If the arrow is flying straight I can't see how this would happen. I have hit bone and gone through. I would think arrow would need to be flying funny to do this but my opinion.

One reason I was leaning toward the ATAC. It covers that part. It basically has a built in foot.

Did you chanfer the shaft? There shouldnt be a gap between the head and the shaft.. Either you didnt chanfer it or you insert wasnt installed deep enough
I still am completely on the fence as to which arrow i am going to shoot.. The Deep six FMJ fly so freaking good out of my bow but are a little lighter than i really would like to shoot at a bison.. If i cant get my fixed blades to fly good at 80+ with the Gold tips im shooting i am gonna sacrifice weight a little and shoot the fmj injections.. Ive only got a few months to get it figured out.

Buff killed his bison with a 55 pound black widow and a Magnus stinger and a mid weight arrow. You're fine.
Following, recently bought a dozen of the D6 carbon injexion arrows to try & I'm interested in both those heads. I do like the collar idea of the ATAC. I have purchased some D6 ST & Exodus broadheads to try, but haven't shot them yet. Would like to hear any reviews about the arrows & broadhead setups, being I haven't seen many.
