Cool. How you get the shad? You go catch them and release them?

WOW how much did 1000 CB largemouth cost? I thought they were like $100 a pop.

Very nice Brandon! Keep us updated as time goes on. I fished lots of stock tanks when I was young.

If the red ears and bluegill have been in there 3 years, they are probably pretty good size by now. How big do bass fingerlings have to be to reduce the chance of getting gobbled-up?

Yes. During the spring they are easy to catch and I have several bait tanks so transporting is easy.

We got the 2-3" Camelots for $1.75 each. Almost got the bigger ones but according to Todd these grow so fast initially that at the end of the day it really doesn't matter. We ordered a few more to offset any loss.

Bluegills and Redears primary food source is bugs and what not. I am sure we will loose a few but hoping not to many.

That is in the plan but probably 3yrs from now. I want the bass to reach a size that they will be able to eat the crappie and help control the population. We have another smaller tank on the ranch that is about 4 acres in size that I want to stock some of the Hybrid Crappie.

Brandon, do you currently or plan on feeding fish pellets?
