$3200 for both over 15 years ago. Still have 20/15 on both eyes. Got it done in Monterrey, MX by a good buddy of my family doc. Had 1 checkup 2 weeks before surgery, 1 the day of and once a month for 3 months after. Doc gave me $100 for every client I sent his way and I only paid $1800 after it was all said and done. Came to find out that I was his 3rd client ever and this was back when LASIK was still in its infancy (I think I was one of the first 10 people in South Texas to get it done). Cursed him out for practicing on me, but all in fun as it has been the best decision I have ever made. Still see halos at night and my eyes tire after a short while while outdoors. Halos are only with bright lights and cheap fishing glasses fixed the tired eyes.

Oh yea, I started wearing glasses at 12 and by 16 couldn't read a STOP sign from the drivers seat of my truck while stopped at the intersection. At 19 I got the procedure on a Wednesday and limited out on white wings that Saturday with 18 shots. That is one thing I will never forget, I could actually shoot better than I ever had before.

I ended up having to have new lenses put in not LASIK so that's why they are only doing one eye today.

I've been wanting to do it since I spend so much on contacts and contact accessories.
Now I'm about to where I need a 1X cheater to read up close also. Will it fix that too?

Same place I had mine done in 2004. No lifetime warranty at that time. Wish it was. Mine only lasted about 6 yrs. or so. Been needing it done again for a long time. What Dr. did it there? $2200 total at that time.

I need cheaters since I had mine done, but I was told this would happen. I have heard they now can do one eye for distance and the other for reading. I don't know anyone who has done this, but seems practical.

I see well at long range, I need 3.00 readers. I checked out LASIK, they gave me a contact to wear in one eye to see if I liked what they called a " blend". I could read but it messed up my long range and intermediate sight so I did not have it done. There may be a better solution now as mine eyes were checked about 4-5 years ago.

You can only have it one way. Either long distance and use reading glasses for close up, or the opposite. I chose long distance with reading glasses. For hunters, seeing crystal clear at long distance is the only way to go in my opinion.
I see better now at long distance than I ever have in my life and use 1.5 power reading glasses.
I love not being a slave to contacts.
