Anyone else have issues with USPS?

This is not a rant. Mistakes happen and I honestly make plenty of those.

I ordered an automotive part last week and it shipped without issues. I need this part in a hurry and was notified it would be delivered yesterday. So yesterday comes and goes and still no package.

I look on the USPS site and look to see where all the package has been.

First, it arrives in Dallas on Monday. By Monday evening it leaves Dallas and arrives in Ft Worth. from Fort Worth it goes back to Dallas. Next, it left Dallas and went to the wrong post office over an hour away.

Can't find it now. The USPS site no longer shows anything. The company I bought it from can't get answers either. I realize it's just a day off the original delivery day, but when you really needed a part you ordered to keep your vehicle from breaking down on the side of the highway, it doesn't need explaining.

It wouldn't be much of an issue if it wasn't something important.

USPS is the absolute worst, and the Conroe PO is the poster child for bad service.

It's the USPS. Any other company is worth the extra $$$ to do away with government inefficiency. Hope it all works out for you.

I've been shipping camera mounts via USPS for over a year now and my experience has been terrific. Maybe I've been lucky but from a business standpoint I can't justify spending more for another carrier when most of my shipments around Texas get there the next day.

I have had one lost package in all that time.

Yep Package arrived in San Fran. Did not leave there for a week. Once it left San Fran it was six week later still on transit. Filed a report and the package went back to San Fran. It was another week before the package arrived. All the while this is taking place I found the same item locally and bought it. Returned to Sender on the first package and got my money back.

I avoid using the USPS if at all possible. I went through a period a couple of years ago where all my mail that contained anything of value was stolen. My mail would make it to the local distribution center but never show up in my mailbox. The postal service was no help. They had no explanation of how my parcels could be at the distribution center 1 mile away but never make it into my locked mailbox. Thieves.

An acquaintance ordered an item plenty of time prior to him leaving on a long road trip. I forgot what it was exactly he ordered, but he planned on using the item while away on the trip. He patiently waited for the item to arrive and when it never showed up he looked on the USPS site to see what happened.

Somehow the package wound up in California. He gave up after it supposedly left there and then ended up being shipped back to CA again. After he got back from his trip he said the package looked to be still traveling around to different sorting facilities. A month later he still hadn't received it. I don't remember if he just settled for a refund or what.

I have had any issues with USPS. Sorry y'all have had problems but I guess moving billions of things a day something is going to go wrong.
I have had a couple of issues with UPS and FedEx and use USPS more than both of those put together.

I've had trouble with our local post office putting mail in the wrong box. I'm box 488 and I'm always getting box 487 or 489's mail. Someone needs glasses. No big deal until you didn't receive a credit card bill and they want a 35 dollar late fee.

I ship with USPS everyday and have never had a problem. I know their the go to when someone is ranting about government inefficiency and so on but in my experience the post office and the military are the two thing they do decent job at.

Midway USA gets ALOT of my money and they USPS.. My stuff always gets here a day before they say it will, never had any problems. Sounds like it's hit or miss, and always a miss if California is involved!

With them you never know where the weak link is going to be, here I think the usps is covertly trying a community outreach program, I get about 2 phone calls per week, have neighbors knocking on my door about 2 days, or have to go knock at other neighbors, we're all just trying to get mail and packages to the right people.

Just got a text alert saying the package is back in Dallas. Hope it doesn't go back and forth again from Dallas to Ft Worth to Dallas.
