Today all of the news in Houston is nothing but hurricane Ike, and I understand that to some degree, but please do not forget our fellow Americans that fell on September 11, 2001, and don't forget those who caused them to fall.

Our strength remains in our resolve, and in solidarity. We are a strong nation under God. Thank you to each and every service man or woman in this country for your service which has allowed us to remain free, and to evacuate from the path of hurricane Ike.

I will never forget that day and where I was when I was just finding out about all of it and what it all meant. I believe I was in 7th grade so my mind was kinda boggled. But I will never forget sitting in that class the principal coming over the speakers and telling us what had happened and to turn on the news. GOD BLESS THIS LAND, AND THE SOLDIERS WHO PROTECT IT!!!
