Bacon, Bacon, Bacon!

Reindeer is delicious, planning a hunt for next Fall. Moose hunt already booked for this Fall.

Wanted try whale while we were in Tromsø, but heard there was a better place to get it in Oslo, definitely on my list before I leave.

Whale can be excellent. Was it Cafe Skansa in Oslo you heard about? I think that is where I had some on the last trip. Also found a very small fish place close to the national theater where we had Greenland Seal. Apparently the seal is becoming harder and harder to come by due to all the regulations and international bunny hugger pressure.

Did you vacuum seal yours whole and then slice when you where ready to eat?

I had some at a restaurant on Aker Brygge, it was delicious, similar to steak, had it cooked medium rare, delicious. Seals are apparently a major problem, once they show up the fish disappear...the seals take their toll on them.

Yes, it's better to slice when it's partially frozen.

Mmmm - Whale at Lofoten... Very good but definitely an expense account place! Those shopping runs from Oslo to Sweden bring back memories... Funny how the Norgies go to Sweden, Swedes go to DK and the Danes to Germany to shop...
