Just got a bottle of balcones single malt, trying to decide if I'm gonna drink some or save it for a special occasion.

Drink it, then try Rebecca Creek's Single Malt. I like the RC expression better. RC has a touch of chocolate barley that tastes pretty good, and it's $10 cheaper then the Balcones. Honestly, I was surprised, I thought the Balcones would be better than RC. But not for me. But side by side, you tell the Balcones is darker and aged longer. But I might be a bit biased, when I toured the RC distillery, they showed us the Single Malt barrels aging. Pretty cool

I've been wanting to try rc, I'm gonna pick one now since you suggested it! I've always wanted to tour a distillery just never have.

Went to twin liquors for their dollar sale and picked up a bottle of Makers Mark and a bottle of Larceny.

Recently discovered Bulleit Bourbon. My new "go to". It's not Woodford but very drinkable at half the price.

That stuff is pretty stout. It does the trick for sure.

I was a Crown and Coke man for years. Since I've quit carbonated drinks completely, I've found my way to either Rebecca Creek or Yellow Rose on the rocks. Not sure who decided the pricing, but the 750ml RC is $35.99 at most stores, and the 1.75L is $46.99. More than twice the whiskey for $11 more.

Love Buffalo Trace, probably the one of the best under $20 bourbons on the market. If you like BT, you should try it's big brother Eagle Rare, a little older expression from the Buffalo Trace family.
