I’m an old Crown Reserve guy myself. The thing about rye , bourbon or malt doesn’t apply in Canada [emoji1063]. Therefore we may never know exactly what the mix is in Crown being Canada [emoji1063] has no standards like the great USA [emoji631].
From being a bit more diverse the last 2-3 years, I feel Crown indeed has some corn mash to it’s mix. Not saying it’s a “bourbon” but it has a bourbon finish in my mind.
Compare something like Whistle Pig [emoji241] which I feel is super “rye” in mix and you can taste the difference.
I’m one to say that Crown is very close to being bourbon based on its darkness , it convinces me more. We may never know the truth, and why we should drink more and compare [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji3062]
