Do you need a bow press or can you do this yourself?

Of my 2 choices, I will put the drop zone on and see how it does. I pulled an arrow through the WB and there was some noise. The arrow was a Cabela's Carbon Hunter that was absolutely quiet on a prong rest last year. I am not very knowledgeable ab out rest, but I will work with it and do my best with the adjustments needed. I am taking it in today to have it installed.

not wanting to hijack your thread but when you used your prong rest did you have a little black rub off on your fletchings after a while?

I had the prongs cover with felt. No sound at all. Deer never even flinched when I drew and all (last year) were inside 20 yard.

you do it yourself? I noticed all me arrows have the rubber residue from the rest. I assume that has to effect flight somehow.

Yes. It is just felt with a sticky back. Just cut it to size and press it on. It will wear out fairly fast, but just change it regularly. Make sure you cover the tips of the prongs. You can buy the felt just about anywhere ( Walmart, Hobby Lobby,etc....) It is cheap and you get 1 or 2 sheets that will last a long time.

what he said. I have a Trophy Taker Pronghorn on my bow and love it.

I shoot the drop zone and personally think you will be much happier with it rather than the biscuit. Not taking anything away from the biscuit though

If you have black marks on fletching, you are getting vane contact with your rest.
HC Sniper, make sure the draw-length is correct before you install Drop-Zone, when you change draw-length, timing will change.
