Have ya'll had any problems with the string slipping off of the idler wheel on the Cheetah? I was at BPS last night looking at bows for a friend's son. When he was letting it down, the string slipped off and cut his finger. The guy there said it had happened before, and it was partly due to the string not being served where it rides on the idler wheel. Other than that it seemed like a solid bow.

My son has a 08 cheetah and string is served where it goes over the idler. I wonder if some got out of the factory without being served?

I shoot the Firecat with a NAP Smartrest. Works well for me.

I've considered these options myself, and have decided to do a Ripcord....I'll let you know how things work out.

I like both the RipCord and the QAD Ultra. You've got to get them timed right, but they are nice in my opinion. Both are full capture.

Thanks for any help or advice you can give me.
If you work on your own bow, get any rest that you think you can fix if something goes wrong with it.
If not, very few people can shoot the difference in a well set-up drop-away and a Whisker Biscuit in a hunting situation.
If you will carry a spare, at least with a Whisker Biscuit you can set it up yourself and be hunting again in about 10 minutes.
I know that perfectly timed Ripcords and Qad's are out there, but in 7 years in my shop, I've not seen one.
Every one that I've seen have been making some contact.

                    Rocky,
How do you change the draw length. Do you have to buy a new module?

Most likely to change draw length, you will have to change the module. Wherever you purchased the bow should change it out at no charge.
I don't know much about Martin bows, but I don't think their cams are draw-length specific, but other than that, they are just like any other single cam in how they work.

Your right Rocky you just change the mod. Cheetahs go from 24 to 29.

Rocky I would someday like you to look at my DXT. I took all the fuzz off of my RipCord recently and put baby powder on it to make sure I wasn't contacting it at all, and there were no marks on it except for where I drew the arrow back. Scott Whiteford took a strong look at it too.

I don't believe there is any contact with my son's QAD either.

I know that there are some perfectly timed Ripcord and Ultra-rests out there, but I still believe that there is very few hunters that can shoot the difference in those and a WB in a hunting situation.
I have been inundated with BPS setups this week with QAD's mostly, and every single one was crashing.
                            How can that be good?
