I let the ex-wife keep the Temper-pedic king size. I bought my self a Temper-pedic king size. I vote with my wallet. I napped all afternoon on it today and it was great. I would buy another tomorrow if mine burned down today. Buy the one that makes you say, "oh yeah" and don't look back. You will spend 1/3 of you life on it.

Okay I'm a heavy drinker but the water wine and puke never comes into play

We have had both and prefer the Tempurpedic. The sleep number is ok, both sides can be adjusted independently, etc. Every so often you have to re-inflate to get to the desired firmness, not a big deal though.
When we moved overseas we got the Tempurpedic because the 220V power here and the Sleep number motor is 110V. I wish we had gotten the Tempurpedic first, far superior mattress in my opinion, sleep much better than I ever did on the SN bed.
I had back pain issues and that's the reason I went with the SN bed, but I think the Tempurpedic would have been better for me, I've since had surgery and back pain is no longer an issue.
Tempurpedic for the win.

They give you a 30-90 day return (most stores), but there's some small lettering in there so caveat emptor.
My view is you spend more time on/in your bed than you do in your vehicle and couches combined, so why skimp on a cheap mattress.

Going on 20+ years with my SN. Had mine so long that when I bought it, they were called Select Number. Ha, ha.
I've never had a better bed. Never tried the TP. I'm sure it's very good but I'm completly satisfied with my SN.
The bed really came in handy when I had hip replacement surgery. I was able to make it real soft so my hip was comfortable and then air it up to make it hard to aid getting out of bed. That was a blessing in disguise.
I'm not really aware of how much I like it until I travel and have to sleep on a strange bed. Makes me really appreciate coming home to my bed.

My wife's account is Mattress Firm so she knows just about every sales rep in N/W/S Houston.
Just throwing that out there.Last edited by HoustonHunter; 04-26-2015, 08:02 AM.
