Whether Ms. Head was the author or not, the fact she passed it on to encourage the kids is good enough for me. I'm blessed with a kiddo that tests well and is above average, but I was just the opposite and can't imagine the stress it would have dealt me if I had to take those same test when I was growing up. I feel for the kids and the teachers these days!

Great letter from a teacher that took the time to send it out. Doesn't matter if she wrote it or got it from another source, I hope a lot more of the teachers sent them to their students. When they sign the bottom, they take ownership in the message.

A teacher with their heart in the right place for sure. its good to see that there are some out that that care about their students and their success. I have seen and heard many that just treat teaching as a mundane job and don't care as much about being an EDUCATOR.

Both my kids are A honor roll. They have no issues with this test other than the emphasis that the schools put on it and the stop down of test taking.

My 3rd grader's biggest concern about STAAR tests is that they don't get outside recess when the 4-5th graders are testing so the noise doesn't disturb them.
