So you would do it for free?

Its a fraction of what some CEOs make.

Mission Arlington in Arlington, Tillie is a god fearing woman and does so much for the needy in our community. They take any and everything. They either repair and sale or get money for the haul off. They are a stellar organization.

          More discrepancies......

An article that compares the salaries of top executives of several large charitable organizations is mostly outdated and inaccurate.

The current President and CEO of Goodwill is Jim Gibbons, who in 2011 received a total reported compensation of $725,000.

No but I would not claim it as a NON-profit/charity and make people think its going to the poor!

                Sorry business

It's hard to understand exactly how they're a charity, as they take in free items (at tehir discretion), and resale them to the public. So essentially, they are operating with a zero inventory cost, and selling at a profit.
Absolutely! I mean, those buildings are free, their electricity is free, and all those employees are volunteers.

                  The nerve!

you mean the employees they pay below minimum wage through federal subsidies?

yes, I get it... there are expenses to operate the charity.

my issue is that if you're going to run/own a non for profit organization, taking a multi million dollar salary is just slighty odd, at best. Weren't you just complaining about excessive consumerism a few posts back?

Must be the reason there are more "non profit" organizations these days than you can shake a stick at. sure are a LOT of people out there running a business with zero profit....

Visited Angelic Resale in Conroe today, a ministry based store that benefits unwed mothers that stay in a facility out near Stoneham. Picked up a Ping ISI 7 degree driver and Big Bertha 8 degree driver. Can't wait to try them out.
