    Are these........

Dewberries? Bunch of them growing along a fence line on what looked like blackberry plants? Wanted to ask here before we ate any.

In the pic, they look big, which would mean blackberries. Dewberries look just like blackberries, only most are smaller. Blackberry bushes are bigger too, like waist high or higher. Most of the dewberry plants around here are not much more than knee high.

And large car was right! The red ones will be horrible because they are not ripe yet.

I know the red ones wouldn't be ripe but I like tart things so I thought id give the a try. These were in Katy pretty close to Katy Mills Mall.

I want a blackberry/dewberry cobbler like grandma used to make--top and bottom crust.

                      Dewberry...blackberry....whatever but YES!

My wife and I always argue which is which. I say dewberries are the big ones and blackberries are the small ones. She says the opposite (and I think she's correct, but don't tell her).

I like the red ones for the tartness.

Dewberries. They're perfect for cobbler, pie, put em in your frosted flakes, or just throw them in a bowl with milk and a little sugar. Or my favorite, just eat them straight off the bush! No need to wash them. It builds up your immune system to eat them dirty
