I generally go below the dam on the river when they are running down there. Have caught 2 limits there in a little over an hour on a good day.
We fished around an island somewhere. It was as fast as you can reel them in. I've been wanting to do it again. Me and him had planned a trip after one of the Bownanza's but I never got the chance to make it.

Probably Pine Island, lots of folks find them there. Keep your eye on a certain fishing forum and you will know when they are running good.

Way to get those kiddos involved Shake-n-bake! What lake?

And nice haul for both parties.

No fishing this evening. Big storm hit the lake and put big white caps across it.

Stay safe to fish another day.

Running jugs with the kids is a blast!

Ray Roberts. As you can tell from the picture, the lake is way up. But they are finally letting water out!

I'm gonna have to get up there to Ray Bob someday. Never been there fishing yet, since they built that lake. And I know it's got a darn good fishery!

Had 20 total in 2 days, not bad for warm water temps. Nursing a sore back today, strap on my hammock broke yesterday and I landed on my tailbone and lower back. Took a while to get my camper ready to go home. Moving pretty slow.

While doing a little research on building jug lines, I ran across a very inexpensive way for internal weights, for those who use them. They used sand inside instead of re-bar. And just shook it out level before laying it in the water. That got me to think-n. And those that know me, know what happens when I think. I came up with an even better idea than sand.

                      Pea gravel!

Which doubles as a sound attractant as well. You may be in to something there lol
