So we made it happen on the last hr. of the hunt!!! I'm thrilled and relieved at the same time. I didn't want to leave w/ out a Red Stag. As this was really a dream hunt, I just didn't know if or when I could make a return trip to chase them again.. This morning we ran thru the thick cover of the rainforest looking for the wide bull, he continued to proved to b amazingly elusive.

Then we have the good fortune of seeing an awesome bull that presents a great shot opportunity. Zion gives me the green light and I hammer him!!



Can't even begin to tell u how happy I am!!! Dream hunt come true!!!

This trip was beyond my wildest expectations!! Could have asked for a better experience or host Zion, Wilderness Quest NZ is the man!! After the hunt we rushed back to lodge and packed out,hit the road and caught a train to Christchurch which had spectacular views along the way.

Got to Christchurch in time to catch a rugby match & beer at a local pub!

Yessir. I wish I'd took one out too! We just spotted the one. Super super soft&I understand they make a great mount. Justin was certainly tickled to get him. Now don't discount the hares , they aren't like our cottontails that'll sit still on the spotlight. They knew the game & took off like shot outta cannon. We led them on several shots & times they did stop they were out a ways. I popped one at every bit of 150 yds.
