Here's a few more pics I thought I posted of the helicopter lift.

The pilot is renowned for his skills throughout NZ. Ck these skills out!! I wish I had a pic of the canyon he flew in to,thru a cloud, lands on the side of a rock and completely balances for us to load up.

The guide had them, not positive on brand. I do remember they said Black Diamond. They r a MUST! Also don't skimp on your boots. Justin had some UA Wallhanger not waterproof,no ankle support & slick as snot on wet grass. Zion suggests Kenetrek. I had some Soloman's on that were awesome as well.

Thanks.. I will ask my guide if he has them or if I need to bring one. Yes, I was warned about the boot situation early on. I purchased a pair of Schnee's, they are along the lines of Kenetrek and Meindls.

Looks like you all are having a great time.

So what happens with the "missed" tahr?

                    What an incredible trip.
Tahr is high on my list of "want to" ... I think you just bumped it to "got to"!
I'm sure my bride will thank you!

I hope you lay the hammer down on a great stag!

Did Justin have to pay for both tahr?
When guide said miss. its game on again. One of his primary jobs is to watch animal to see if its hit.

Back for lunch, had 2 encounters w/ a wide one I've been after. No shot ever presented itself as one was quick in the open and he jumped back in the bush. Other he was in the thick stuff and on the move.

In the rainforest, near this huge tree. Lovely country out here. Gonna stay after it.
