I have one similar to what the OP is talking about in ACU Digital. But in my defense, it's a diaper bag of sorts and only gets carried when I have the kid out by myself.

I had to go with the digi camo diaper bag too! The wifes choices were a no-go. I would have just carried everything in cargo pants before her frilly bag.

The only bag of any kind a Marine is authorize to wear is an ALICE pack or related MOLLIE gear. And I ain't never seen them issue man bags.

I was thinking about this yesterday because I keep my laptop, lunch bag, etc in a backpack and take it to work everyday as well. I watched some other folks walk in and observed what, if anything they used to carry thier stuff. Some were satchels, etc.

I think the big difference between your "work" bag and a "murse" is where you keep you wallet, phone, and gun. If you keep your phone, wallet and gun in your "bag" (especially the wallet) then, I am sorry, you have a purse. Your gun and your wallet should be in a pocket and your gun as well, or on your hip. If you wear a bag around your hip to conceal a gun... again, you are wearing a purse. But for lunches, laptops, cameras, whatever, sure it's a bag.

Fair enough, and I agree. That said, yes, my pistol is in my work bag. I also carry a 380 on my person when able.... I do not know where I will be working from day to day or what environment I will be in..... I work In a lot of situations where a pistol on my person is not feasible, so the 380 stays in the truck and the pistol in my bag goes with me.
If that makes it a purse...... Oh well
