    The most Comfortable Tree Stands

I always buy cheap hanging stands and have had good luck with them, however they can be very uncomfortable. I am willing to pay more for a comfortable stand but not sure which one to get. Does anyone have suggestions of which kind and where to purchase?

    Thank you for your help.

I'm always comfortable in my Gametamer. Don't see how people stand up for hours on end in tree stands or sit on those little half-seats.

I agree Gametamer is great....not all that portable but comfortable. Ladders work well for me too. Save the cheap stands for short hunts!

Little half seats hurt my full seat behind after about 1 hour. I spend a lot of time standing.

Another vote for Gametamers. I qwn 7 of the tree stands and several of their quadpods. If I have a choice I will not hunt out of another kind of tree stand. They are the most comfortable out there.

I am not trying to get away with "cheaper" but has anyone tried replacing their hang on seat with this http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/te...055&hasJS=true
If so what did you think?

Baglimit, how can you swivel around to get that bowshot over your right shoulder in that stand?

Go with a Gametamer; best there is, and you can swivel quietly for that awkward shot...actually, there are NO awkward shots with the Gametamer!

I bought 3 hang on stands from Sportsman Guide. They come with a padded seat and back rest, along with padded chair arms. Cost about $60. I can sit in them all day. But they are heavy and hell to hang. Fixed that with a pulley system I built this year. Now, all I have to do is hoist it up and strap it to the tree.
Now, I've been hearing alot about these Gametamer stands. Never seen one or hunted from one. My question is, will they work on a straight tree? From the pics, they look pretty good. I like a stand seat that you can swivel around. Last thing I want to to is stand up to take a shot. I try to do all of mine sittin down.

I have bass boat triangle seats with the swivles attached to the half seats
on some of the cheapies. point the square base long points toward the tree
and to where your legs will be. I made some j- brackets to hook on the unerside of the square tubing on some and some I just run the bolts through the exspanded metal. works out pretty good. the only thing you can't rotate in a complete circle like the gametamer.
