Sounds about right^^ what both of yal are saying. Cause it cranks right up as soon as he turns that key. Gotta be something simple. How long does it take to take that carb apart and clean it and put back together. Better off with a rebuild kit? Any gaskets or just a new carb? What you think.

The distributor cap has a control module in it that will start freaking out once it gets warm. I had one that would die after about 5 miles of running perfect. Replaced the module and it ran great again. That might be the issue... it was 20 years ago but I think it was a $25 part so it might be worth replacing either way.

Got ya. Auto parts store have those? Or special order. May get a new carb like suggested above depending on what I think even I get my hands on it more.
