It's a little winded. But I told my gf at the time we where going fishing for my birthday. Little did she know I had arranged for both of our families to meet at Docs in corpus at 1:00pm. We fished in the morning with my best man and his wife. Ring was in my tackle box. I had her use the trolling motor to tow us to the deck. As she was watching the Doc the family dropped a huge banner I had made "Christi will you Mary Me?" On my Q. While she read it I slipped behind her with the ring.

Told her I was going duck hunting this past January with the guys out near Eastland at our family land, then loaded up my parents and snuck down to her parents house in Brenham to surprise her. She hates surprises, but loved that one. Only time I will ever lie to her but it was for a good cause!

She came home from work in Halloween one Thursday and walked it the bedroom and I pulled the ring out of my pocket and ask her to marry me.

I picked my wife up from her ship she was on while in the navy. I walked with her back to the car and grabbed the ring and said hey I think I have a flat on the car come look. When she came around I was down on one knee and asked her to marry me? She said yes and had a whole bunch of naval warships in the back ground. Well we have been together now 7 years and one kid.
