    If it is more than a pallet or two I would hire some day labor. That crap is harder to lay than it looks. You need one person on the ground and another one tossing squares. Get water on it right away. Good Luck!

      We plan to do it our self its not a very big back yard so i am thinking 1 to 2 pallets

        If you do have alot of shade.....Celebration bermuda is awesome in the shade. Also its very good with heavy foot traffic. I've had mine for 8 years and my Golden Retriever cannot wear a trail into it.

          Our back yard has no shade right now its a brand new home with no trees in the back

            not sure how much square footage on a pallet there but from our sod farm here there is only 455 sq. feet on a pallet. You don't have to flood it but don't let it dry out. When the roots take hold to the new ground, you can back off the water. I always put down a slow release nitrogen when I lay new sod. Usually anything more than 1 pallet I get some help.

                  I was told to wait until the night temperatures are constantly above 50 before laying sod...worked for me. I laid 6.5 pallets by myself and it did great.
