I'm moving my family here next month. We did lots and lots of research but ended up renting for the time being. The Northside ISD is hands down the best in the city. My lil girl will be goin to St Mathews Catholic school. I only looked on the west side of town Bc of the medical school. But for you I would look at New Braunfels, Stone Oak, Bulverde areas.

Boerne was my #1 area, along with the upper NW side of town. Lots of possibilities for you. Look up Henry on here. He's a San Antonio realtor. Good guy to deal with

Sounds like I can't go wrong with any of those areas. And if I don't mind commuting (which I don't) then there's really no downside to any of them.

I live north of Garden Ridge in Comal county. Do your best to stay out of Bexar county. Guadalupe or Comal would be best. New Braunfels is real nice and a lot of fun.

What's so bad about Bexar County? Taxes?

If you have the coin to live in the North Stone Oak area all the way to Bulverde do it. I have been in that area for 3 years and it is a different world over there. Really nice schools, kids, parents. There are also alot of deer and wildlife in that area and that part is pretty neat as well. Lisa Sinn is the top relator in that area and knows that whole area like the back of her hand. Look her up she will take care of you, if that is the side of town you want to live on.

You have to be careful there, it's full of Bexars.

Son and DIL hated living in the SA area. They moved to New Braunfels. Personally I don't know anything about SA.

Bexar county taxes aren't bad. But the city taxes are. If you have kids in school there are certain school distracts you want to stay away from. Pm sent

I laughed hard at this! Being from out-of-state, it took a few mispronunciations before I learned to say it right!

And FYI, I've got kids in both Wilderness Oak Elementary and Lopez Middle School in NEISD and couldn't be happier with both of the schools.

I left StoneOak and moved to Boerne. Yes it is awesome.....full of freaking Axis deer to a point - KILL ALL AXIS!

There's traffic anyway you slice it, rolling into the Airport and or Downtown. I work near downtown and make a straight shot down I-10 to work. If I cross 1604 near the RIM at 7am, I'm in the office quickly. If I cross 1604 by the RIM at 7:30, it takes an additional 15 minutes due to traffic, during the school season. Summertime, the traffic is thin and the drive is quick - no school traffic crowding the Interstate.

Excellent baseball program for the kiddos in Boerne.

Hill Country living and a German style town that mimics Fredericksburg

Got a bass lake - kayaks only

Guadalupe River is a couple of miles away - kayak

Canyon Lake a few minutes East

I could be driving up Billy Bob's drive-way in Wimberley, in 30 minutes, just in time for tequila shots!

Bandera is a nice - ranch road cruise over the ridgeline from Boerne to Bandera.

South Texas - Cotulla and Pearsall are literally an hour and change

Corpus Christi is 2 hours away

I like it A LOT HERE!
