The vast majority of the time, we'll hold ice as long or longer. We've run dozens and dozens of tests. Shoot us an email at Warranty@BisonCoolers.com and we'll walk you through a few tests to make sure it's keeping a great seal.

I have both brands & prefer my Brute over my Yeti. They both hold ice well, but I have noticed on several occasions that my Brute held ice slightly better than my Yeti

      Brute/Bison CS is top notch

We offer a few more features (e.g., custom lid graphics, dual drain plugs, built-in ruler) and true to size capacity. The Bison 75 Quart holds 75 quarts whereas their model 75 only holds 60 quarts. They measure dimensions from the outside and we measure from the inside.

Our coolers are about $75 cheaper on average and they're made in the United States. We source parts from about 5 different states and distribute out of Fort Worth. We've also been a TBH sponsor since 2011

Made in the US doesn't hold the weight it used to......I hear that and I think "overpriced"

Sounds like Yeti's have an even higher profit margin...making them grossly overpriced.

Is your soft coolers leak proof?

That's the beauty of the free market... don't like it, don't buy it. Brands are worth something and Yeti created this market.

Bison Soft Paks are leak proof unless flipped over, which in that case they will leak slightly. I have the original soft pak and I love it! Keep in the back seat of the truck and it does exactly what it is designed to do.

Despite it leaking if flipped over, it still beats paying $300 + for a soft sided cooler IMO.

                I don't even disagree

But for a lesser cooler they could bring the price down if they weren't made here.....

Perception (and market share) is everything. I hear US made and I think the company could be selling at an even lower price point and not having to deal with taxes, unions, all the things that are dragging this country down.

Or maybe I just watch too much Shark Tank

I love my brute and have had it for 3 years and it does as good as my buddies yeti. The best part is I can leave it the bed of truck and the idiot thiefs won't touch it because it doesn't say YETI!

I've got a Brute 50 that will hold ice as well or better than my buddy's Yeti. In fact, he got him a Brute after he saw what mine would do. I have the SoftPak and LOVE it. Stays in my truck. Now to top it all off, I decided to get me a Brute 25 while reading this thread yesterday. My online order went through at 3:42pm. It arrived today at 1:06pm. And it was sent standard delivery - ground. GOTTA LOVE THAT!! 21 and a half hours from hitting enter on the keyboard to having a new cooler in my possession. Yeah, I'm a Brute/Bison guy!!

                      Thanks Tyler and Jeremy!!

I have a 65 yeti and the comparable brute. The brute keeps ice noticibly longer but its white where the yeti is tan. The tan gets too hot to touch out in the sun. My yeti is 4 yrs old and the lid is warped. It still seals but irritates me that it doesn't look right. I have two yeti roadies, one white, one tan. the white one will keep ice at least a day longer than the tan. With either brand, chains are your friend.

They both are comparable in functionality but if you buy a bison from a dealer they are less than a yeti and bison's are true to their size. And their customer service is A+

Honestly the only thing I like better about the Brute is I can open it with one hand (handy when on my canoe or kayak), but with that said I think that's only because they don't seal as good as the Yeti....
                            I vote Yeti

Only reason I'm going yeti again is yeti is giving me 30% discount with police report. I have not talked to bison on the tbh hook up though

never had an issue with any of my Bison coolers in any size (100, 25, and bag).

Don't own a yeti but my neighbor who is a beer rep does... he regularly borrows my 25qt Bison instead of using his yeti because it keeps the beers colder longer.

He's also buying a Bison bag and as soon as the release the 24pack size he'll get one of those too
