    Tarleton State ?

My son is graduating HS this May, and considering Tarleton State, probably for wildlife biology. We're supposed to attend the open house event next weekend.

I'm sure there are some alums here on the green screen. Anything I need to know about?

I understand that students are required to live on-campus the first 2 years?

    Thanks,
    -Gene

Our youngest child (19) is in his first year at tarleton and loves it.
Attending the open house was enjoyable. Yes - on campus first two years.

Oscar P! Great school! Best 4 years of my young adult life were spent at TSU.

I got my AA before going to Tarleton; therefore, I didn't have to live on campus for two years thank God. My wife and I are both TSU Alumni.

Have not taken an classes there, but have go to may one or two day retreats there. I have found the school to be first rate. I would not hesitate to send a child of mine there for their degree. The professors that I met while there were excellent. It has been a few years since I was there, but bet is it still an excellent school.

Both my wife and I graduated from TSU in 2006. Best school in the entire world and I opened up a Ecig / Vapor shop there in March I love it so much !

I've got a couple friends that went there, great guys. I don't know about their Purple Poo stories though.

And they voted the town wet now. Not driving all the way to Handys for a case of beer should save you on some gas money!

Decent program, it is becoming better with a lot of the more advanced wildlife/habitat classes that they are introducing.

I hear it's ok. A couple guys I know got their degrees from there and are now positioned deep in the forest studying frog habitat. Good luck.

Great school. It has come a long way since I graduated in '02 in the wildlife dept. Absolutely loved it there with the school and town. Great place to be and with the smaller class sizes in the major studies, I think you get a better education and your professors actually know you. A lot more opportunity for extra projects and field work. Absolutely give it two thumbs up!
