    too many unknowns.
something set the teacher off..can't imagine is was something trivial.
Nope still doesn't justify it, there are administrative and legal avenues if that were the case.

    These were 6th graders.

From an educator, you are very right!!!

He is an adult teacher and even if they had done that, it would not be excusable in a classroom with students.

If in fact the teacher talked and acted like that then he should lose his job. Nothing the kids did or could do makes that language correct in a school setting. Period...

And if in fact the principle told the mother to erase the recording then she should be dealt with also.

Well, I think you are wrong on this point. We did get paddled and a good talking to by coaches for grades and conduct. Kids would cry going in because they knew the consequences going in. They never used language like that in a classroom especially with females in it. Not sure where you went to school but certainly glad it's not where my kids go and I have no problem with corporal punishment, but certainly wouldn't want that nut job administering it.

I'm not sure some of you know what 6th graders talk like anymore.. .and before you give me that speech that your kid doesnt talk like that, spare me! I'm not condoning his actions, but 6th grade kids arent saints and they definately talk worse than that. In my kids 6th grade year, they caught kids having sex in the hallway. . . .just saying, the world isnt sugar coated anymore and for those who thinks it is. . .you behind the times. I agree with systemnt, if they paddeled their butts, and actually had HOME discipline, alot of this crap wouldnt go on!

So lets just excuse it all because they all do it.That, I'm sorry to say is just STUPID. He is an educator in a school. Do you really think talking like that to 6th graders or any child is an appropriate method. No wonder this country is where it is.

I definitely deserved to be talked to like that several times in 6th grade.

                                Dude,

First of all you dont know me, to make statements like this is ludacris. . .I have 17 year old twin boys, they work 30 plus hours a week, make A/B honor roll & play sports. I think I know how to raise kids. Do you? All i'm saying is simply this, teachers dont just jump off the deep end, they are normally pushed by kids with no respect, no want of education, parents who dont give a crap and want to disrupt class. I said, I wasnt condoning it, but I'm also saying get off the pulpit, kids aren't angels. It isnt going to hurt them to hear a few cuss words. Remember we sent 18 year old kids to war, I'm pretty sure they've heard some crap. Well 6th graders are alot more advanced now, then we were. Too much input from TV, Internet, Radio & Video games. This country is where its at because some of these kids need their butt whooped at home instead of cradled like a baby. Simply put, spare the rod, spoil the kid.
