    Hidden Compartment Furniture

Anyone have any furniture, particularly a nightstand, with a hidden compartment for a pistol? Looking at building a bedroom set for my wife and I and thought I should incorporate something like this.

There's probably a bunch of stuff out there, but this is the only one I've really ever seen.

You may take a look at some of these from this company. Even if you don't want to purchase any of there stuff, it may help to give you some ideas.

Tactical Walls Gun Walls are fully customizable to your needs and easy to install. Shop gun display and concealment options such as gun wall racks, mirrors, etc.

Those tacticalwalls are pretty sweet, and they really aren't that bad on the price either.

Do tactical walls have a locking mechanism?

They lock using magnetic keys which come with each piece you purchase. They have some pretty cool things on there and they don't look too difficult to install. The drop down shelves look awesome!

The guy that built my log nightstands added roll away hidden tops on them. He took it on himself to add them cause I'd had him make so much furniture You would never think the tops rolled away, he did a slick job

Thanks guys, keep them coming. Pull out top wont work with all the crap I keep on mine. That latch looks like one for child proofing cabinets. Might be something to consider. I would like the compartment spring loaded so it pops open- not sure if those will work under pressure

https://www.willa-hide.com/ I know the guy who builds these cabinets. He use to build residential cabinets but is now only making these mirror in the wall cabinets. I think it a really cool idea but for $800 its not for me, especially when I could build it for way less.

Been researching and tossing the idea of building somethings like this for myself. I like the idea of a mirror hiding the AR. Can't decide whether to build a night stand or a bed headboard to hide pistols. Headboard would be easier to build one item that can hide one on my side and wife's side, but can't decide on the best approach for locking with quick access and making sure it's a well hidden space in plain view

Do you have any children in the house? That in my opinion is the big question. If no, then something like this, they're showing a small table but a night stand or dresser would work. They sell a magnetic holster, you can use whatever. I know there are guys who say their kids are or should be or will be responsible around firearms, but it's your house, family and choice.

What I like is when you retrieve the weapon, you're low and on the ground in a position the intruder is not looking for somebody standing up.

Bill, Kid safe is the main goal. Out of sight at least. Niece just turned one and hope to have my own kiddo soon. Taking that off the table, I don't mind just laying it on the nightstand or having a shotgun under the bed.

I was sent this not too long ago. Lots of possibilities but I do like the idea of not everything being in the gun safe.
