If any of y'all work for a surveyor, or create plat maps, I wanted to see what the going rate is or at least a ball-park charge amount for drawing plats. I'm working on one now, I'm just not sure how much to charge the client. I don't typically do this, so I don't have a baseline.

Plat map preparation charges
Im not a surveyor nor do I work for one but the guy we bought our 5 acres from failed to have a plat done before he sold it to us, he had 15 acres and cut off our 5 from that. When the county attorney called to see if I would be willing to half the cost with him my cost would have been $900 so the total cost would have been $1800 but that was 7-8 yrs ago. Hope that helps a little.Last edited by HoneyBee; 02-26-2015, 09:33 AM.

I'm wondering if he meant not only the plat, but the survey?
What I'm doing is creating a plat that shows the division of 3+ acre tract of land being divided into 6 lots. Of course with all the bells and whistles of bearings, coordinates, and legal descriptions. I was thinking 4-500. It's good work, but I also want to be fair.

I don't work on plats but generally site work. I can ask someone at the office here.
