Twenty-five years for me. My first one sounded like an airplane ! i cannot sleep without it. Do yourself a favor, take the sleep study and act accordingly.

I snored so badly that nobody else could sleep either !

When I had my sleep study done, my sinuses were congested and it affected the study. They set my pressure way high to overcome the plugged up breathing passages and when they cleared up, the pressure was too high. Because of this, i couldn't stand it and quit using it. There's a lot involved with this. I need to get another study done and try again.

They have new tech. now that is implanted in your chest to regulate the breathing. Some folks cannot stand the mask. Google it.

Have one also. I wont say I feel 10 years younger but I do usually get out of bed before my alarm goes off and no more hitting the snooze button 3 or 4 times. I dont seem to require as much sleep as I did before getting a c pap.

Used one since Jan '95. Don't leave home without it. It's been to Arizona on archery Coues hunt. Generator powered. Get checked and insurance can pay for it.

It is a life changer for sure. I have not slept a single second without mine since the day I got it.

I think the question really is who on here doesn't....Make sure you get the right mask for your sleeping habits. When I first go mine many years ago it came with a mask. I sleep on my side so I would roll over on my side, break the seal on my face, and the roaring would wake me up. I even gave it up for a year or more because of that. I started going to a new doctor and he suggested the nasal pillows which only fit under your nose. Never looked back- use it every night now.

There are all kinds of masks available. The latest that I have doesn't require the straps to be really tight. It's the best one I've had in all the years I've been on a C-Pap.

                              I use a c-pap. I won't go to bed without it.

How much does insurance pay for the study and the equipment? I have Scott and White.
