put 4 inch or larger PVC over the legs and coat with grease. Coons cant reach around the large pipe and climb. hogs like the grease though.

Get a varmint cage for your spinner. They work, it's easy

I have tried all the above methods and none work except the eliminator plate and that is not 100%.
The grease will not work because dirt gets embedded into the grease and gives them a good grip, shark teeth give them something to hold onto, tacks do the same thing as the shark teeth. PVC pipes on the legs make them more athletic. A cage and eliminator plate is the way to go....

No they don't work. Nothing worked until we replaced all of our spin plates with the Eliminator.

They still tried to get to the corn but after a while we noticed that coons weren't showing up on the feeders on cameras...guess they gave up.

our buddy put them on his feeder a few years ago. as soon as they were on, we had to go back to camp to get his new solar panel or something. came right back and there was already a squirrel up there. camera showed it didnt slow the coons down one bit either.

went to a winch up feeder and have not had a pic of squirrel or coon on the timer box.

I've heard that mixing Red Pepper in the vasoline works really well. Once they start cleaning their paws, it leaves a bad taste in their mouthes....

I had some luck for a little while but then they figured it out. I still don't have the protein loss that I was having though so it must help some.
