We were out calling about a week ago. We got the fourwheeler stuck in a mud hole and had to get off really gas on it and pull it out by hand. My buddy said the stand was blown anything within a mile was scared off. I said the hell with it, let's call anyway. Within 3 minutes of lightnin jack screaming bloody murder, a bobcat comes running in 25 feet from the decoy and he pops it. Now every stand when we are getting set up, the whole time he is begging for lightnin jack.

When we went to retrieve the bobcat and caller you could see the fresh cat tracks in the mud,. When we came through on the fourwheeler we obviously scared the cat away and lighting jack brought it back running.

My favorite and most successful so far is baybee cottontail.

A lot of the big cats aren't spotted up really good (or unusually good) I have one I'm debating on right now in the freezer. My taxidermist tells me Im too picky, It just costs so dang much.

Awesome! First time I ever ran the caller we had a cat down within 8 min(pure luck). Had a decoy and he was playing with it like a house cat. Sounds like you call a lot so obviously probably don't need any help from me but busy, birdy sounds are heck on cats.

How many cats have you killed? ?! What part of the state do you hunt?

3 so far in the last 3 weeks or so. Started calling after deer season. Then a few missed oppurtunites. Knocked hair off of one, came in too fast and close, was shooting my long range rig that night. Didnt have anybody on a shotgun. Didn't expect a 25 yard shot. Saw 2 the other night, one quickly crossed the right of way and couldn't get a shot. Then had another pop out and disappear before I could get on him. Shotgun could have got one of them if not both. Chambers County.

Great cat. The big ones seem to lose their spots. I've got a huge Tom mounted and he still looks great. Next time I kill a super spotted one, it's going to Clay Wagner. Take a look at his cats. Best in the biz.

Are you doing any night hunting? We pretty much only night hunt. We call each stand at least 30 mins. Sounds like you hunt the same as us. Sometimes it's a grind, and you are just going through the motions not a whole lot of confidence left then 20 mins into your last stand of the night one shows up. Hunted tons of prime looking spots and the crappy looking ones do better a lot of the time. I don't know what to tell you, we just stay at it. I'm about to head out now!!
