Read the majority of your thread. I too, smoked a bobcat a little over a year ago and was inundated with questions about my next move. Do yourself a favor and go with my cat guy. Don't make a penny off references, but mine won state champ at OK and TX. Go big, treat that animal the way it deserves. Beautiful kitty and congrats!!

Are you doing any night hunting? We pretty much only night hunt. We call each stand at least 30 mins. Sounds like you hunt the same as us. Sometimes it's a grind, and you are just going through the motions not a whole lot of confidence left then 20 mins into your last stand of the night one shows up. Hunted tons of prime looking spots and the crappy looking ones do better a lot of the time. I don't know what to tell you, we just stay at it. I'm about to head out now!!

No sir, I generally don't ever hunt at night anymore. I haven't been calling much over the last few years at all compared to how I used to hunt coyotes. This cat will get me back out there though lol!
This deer lease is new to me this year and the other guys had all been talking about all the cats they had seen throughout deer season. I never saw one during deer season but I figured we must have a lot if the other guys were really seeing as many as they said. I think they were right though. Looking forward to whacking some more cats!
