Just bought an i40 2 days ago, The cam says that you have to clear the internal memory before images can be stored on the sd card.

You might try clearing the internal merery and see if that is it.

Sounds like the SD card wasn't all the way in Corey and it placed it on internal memory. You can look at them with the cables that are provided with them on your tv or laptop.

I'm concerned it is a heat issue.

I've been a big fan of the I40 also... I guess I should have waited longer than a season to chime in

There's not a chance in hell I still have he reciept, does moultrie require that for warranty work?

I think the I60 and I40 are fairly close, they look exactly the same, so I guess it's not too surprising.

That display is what I really liked about the I40, instead of the d40... I liked being able to see anytime what the batteries where, and how many photos were on the camera.

          Where'd you buy it?

You can take it back to Cabela's or Academy without a receipt.

I got it from academy, around a year ago... I guess I could try that.

Always send in the warranty card and register online if possible. Moultrie said I had registered a cam 4 or 5 years ago. I told them I never had "any" game cameras back then...

Thanks, I figured that would be the case. I had to bring my wildview home and do that exact thing.

I am working on my 3rd I40 now. Had to take the 1st two back for the same problem with the display going blank. I think it is either heat or heat and direct sunlight related. LED displays don't like direct sunlight anyway. I have had a lot of el cheapo LED watches blank out on me when sitting in the sunlight for a period of time.

KingsX suggested to me today to place some duct tape over the display on the cover. You can still see the display when you open it up and you can peel the tape back if you absolutely need to see the display when it is closed. I do all my work on it with the front cover open so I'll have no problem with it. Should keep the heat/sunlight directly off the LED and might increase the longevity. Just a thought and a wild arsed guess for a possible solution

I had a problem with the display myself, there was a dead line across the display and when I returned there were alot of pics and the led was dead. I replace the camera at Academy it is in the woods, hopefully this was a problem with last years models.

The display on one of mine is going out. As of right now I can only read one side of the LCD. I'm going to take it back to Academy for an exchange.
