    I40 ?

My first problem with the I40. Screen read normal 560/1957 bat.life 92% auto so on. Loaded SD card and it said card needs to be formated. 4yrs using these cams. and that was a first.

I format ALL my cards for ALL my cameras. I do most on the computer when I download my pics and erase the pics. Even after formatting on the computer, a usually go through the format event on my camera to make sure it's compatable with that particular camera.

What kind of card wheels and how large is the storage?

Some of the 4GB High Density cards have needed formatting but I have not run into the problem yet with any of mine

Not sure but that could be a card problem, not a camera problem.

I know my LR's supposedly won't work with the Platinum 2's. I have 1 and it wouldn't work in my Stealth WD3 or Stealth I390 or any of my LR's. I stay with Sandisc mainly.

I have 2 of the D-40's at my feet right now! Hopefully no issues when I crack open the boxes and get them ready for the field!

I've used the SanDisks, Apacers, Adatas, Lexars and Kodaks from 1 - 4GB without an issue in my I40s

My Lexars are not platinum IIs so I have had no experience with that specific card.

I had same problem with I40 but with the High capacity cards but learned they have to be formatted in the I40 camera itself not the computer. Have not done it yet.

has anyone had an issue with the display on the I40 partially crapping out?

I checked mine yeserday, and it looked like a line of pixels through the center of the display were dead.

I haven't had any real issues with the camera other than that.

I've never had any formatting errors come up on the I40, or the D40.... but I guy I work with has.

I am having the LCD issue. Sent mine in to Moultrie this last Tues as the
warranty was to run out on Wed.
Didn't mean to cut it that close but I thought I bought it in Sep 07. When I checked the reciept last Sun night and realized warranty was Aug. 20th, I made a mad dash to the lease Mon morning before work.
Had to work late Mon to make it up and couldn't ship until Tues morning. Sure hope it made it in time...
Went today and worked on location #2 and put my M40 at #1.

Yes....my two started out like that and then both went blank. As big a I40 cheerleader as I was, this is becoming more and more prevalent. I hope these two new cameras I received have had the issue fixed.

I'm concerned it is a heat issue.

The top line of the display on my I60 went out last week. Sounds like they have a serious problem they need to fix.

I checked mine this morning, said I had 45 pics. I pulled the card and put it in my dig camera and it said no file image or something like that. Does that mean it is not formatted? Can I take the whole thing back to thecabin and check it with my computer or tv?
