Just out of curiosity for those defending using the tow mirrors while pulling a trailer what kinds of trailers are yall pulling and are they really helping all that much? Are dodge mirrors so poorly designed from the start you have to pop em up to see anything when pulling a trailer? I know on the fords and chevy's you can see just fine pulling just about anything even big goose necks with out extending them out. Unless it is over size is there really honestly a need for the extension?
I always get a chuckle out of the redneck mobiles whether they have a ford, chevy or dodge emblem on the front.

Mine is a Chevrolet though, apparently you can't see around the 4X4 sticker on a short bed dodge without tough guy mirrors.

With a travel trailer you absolutely want them extended.

Where I used to work guys pulled 16 foot box trailers with chevy's never had to extend mirrors. With our ford we are regularly pulling a 40 foot gooseneck and a backhoe no need to have mirrors extended to see around it unless real tight and if its tight enough to need to extend mirrors it is usually more advisable to get out and look, we might extend mirrors once every couple years same when pulling the 4 horse trailer no issues seeing around it, attaching to it, or parking it.
Would the dodge guys extend the mirrors out on a ford or chevy for same application they are using their dodges?
