Lol. No one is taking care or exception to anyone's mirrors its just amusing. More so when it riles people up to the point they feel the need to defend something that 'doesn't matter'.
It's like wearing plaid pants to the grocery store. Sure you just came from the golf course and they serve all the basic functions of regular pants. Doesn't stop you from looking silly
No kiddin. I keep my mirrors up because it is a pain in the rear to switch them every time I hook up or drop off my trailer / camper / bbq pit.... Its sad that all these poor souls on here judge people by how they keep THEIR mirrors on THEIR trucks.
Do yall leave your receiver hitch in your truck, or do you take it out every time you unhook from a trailer? Do you remove your removable 5th wheel hitch every time? Do you flip over your turnover gooseneck hitch every time?
No, not all the time you don't. It is the same principle for dodge drivers and their mirrors.
And besides that, its just a friggin truck... GET OVER IT.
I leave the hitch in, I like to test the reflexes in my knees by kicking the hitch at 5am sometimes
I had never really thought about it until the "Invisible Trailer" thread, but all these guys running around town hauling groceries with their "big ear" mirrors run all the way out crack me up now...i will see one and think "invisible trailer!" and snicker...and no matter how bad my day might have been it gets a little brighter...Thanks to whoever started that thread!
I have a dodge, and haul a ghost trailer. I also giggle when I see others now. But yea, i aint changing my mirrors up and down. I think it funny as heck.
That's the main reason I took the pic. I didn't get a good angle of it but you can see the back edge of the bead flange on the wheel because the wheels are so much too wide for the tires. I guarantee you I could knock one of them off the bead with one donut.
