Working today will be headed home at 6 in the morning. 1st Christmas day off in 3 years. When I 1st got into EMS i worked 6 Christmas days in a row so folks with kids could have off. Then I had kids now fight for the day off. Problem now is the young guys dont want to work extra.

I worked almost every Christmas eve for the 31 years I was in the grocery business. I changed careers at the age of 47 and now work the weekend shift (fri-sun) at a manufacturing plant as a facilitator and have more time off than I deserve. To everyone having to work the holidays, have a merry Christmas .

I'm in till 5 then I'm off for 4 days!!! It's hard being here when I know my kids and husband are at home having fun without me LOL But I love my new job and wouldn't trade it for another one.
