Yes sir. It won't happen again. Nor will I ever stop there again for anything else after this experience.

Can I get in on that offer? I'll load the bed of my pickup with a few and head that way. I could use a few Cajun meals!!!

It takes about 25 minutes per deer to do that, and that's taking your time with several beer sip breaks. And its part of the required fun/work in my opinion. I guess I always kind of chuckle when I hear somebody bringing in their deer like that.

I guess I'm just cheap. Only processing I've had done is sausage or salami and thought it was too expensive.

Buddies deer just got done at processor . 145# live weight.

Skin, cut the steaks out , turn the rest into breakfast sausage.

                $356

I'll take you up on that one, but you have to come here to do it! Gas is cheap enough now too!

Friend paid over $400 for 2 deer. He got out cheap because it was a invite hunt and that was his only expense for the season.

I'll never let anybody else process my deer. You can buy a grinder and make your own sausage for years for the same price as one year of processing a couple deer. Makes no sense to my why I would ever pay someone else.

That being said, I've never had more than 60lbs of deer to process, because I don't exactly get a ton of doe tags

This year is the first time I did the skinning and quartering myself and the last time I'll pay $75 to have someone do it for me. I took the quarters to Kubys in Dallas and they only charge $10/quarter to process it.

$60 a pop for all the chili, hamburger and steaks you can make!

Hence why I skin and quarter all mine. WAY TOO CHEAP and saw how they were bending us all over

So, you pay to have it skinned and quartered? Then what? Are you taking it home just quartered?

Cha Ching that's where the cost goes way up
