1 Thessalonians 4
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1 Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more.
2 For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus.
3 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:
4 That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;
5 Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God:
6 That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified.
7 For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.
8 He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit.
9 But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another.
10 And indeed ye do it toward all the brethren which are in all Macedonia: but we beseech you, brethren, that ye increase more and more;
11 And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;
12 That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.
13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Isaiah 52:11 Depart, depart, go out from there!
Touch no unclean thing!
Come out from it and be pure,
you who carry the vessels of the LORD.
The word "Depart" actually means "Turn Back", "Turn Back", or "Repent", "Repent"!!!

Compare: 1 Thess 4:1-5 to Exodus 19:10-15 to Isaiah 52:12
1 Thessalonians 4:1-5
"then, brethren, we urge and exhort in the Lord Jesus that you should abound more and more, just as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God[The same Walk Yeshua Messiah walked, according to the Law/Torah]; (2) for you know what commandments we gave you through the Lord Jesus[Yeshua/Jesus gave the Law at Sinai(James 4:12)], . (3) For this is the will of God[Psalms 119:142], your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality[Adultry both physical/spiritual]; (4) that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel[Our bodies are made from clay "earthen vessels"] in sanctification and honor, (5) not in passion of lust, like the GENTILES who DO NOT Know GOD;"
Exodus 19:10-15
"And the LORD said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them to day and to morrow, and let them wash their clothes, (11) And be ready against the third day: for the third day the LORD will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai. (12) And thou shalt set bounds unto the people round about, saying, Take heed to yourselves, that ye go not up into the mount, or touch the border of it: whosoever toucheth the mount shall be surely put to death: (13) There shall not an hand touch it, but he shall surely be stoned, or shot through; whether it be beast or man, it shall not live: when the trumpet soundeth long, they shall come up to the mount. (14) And Moses went down from the mount unto the people, and sanctified the people; and they washed their clothes. (15) And he said unto the people, Be ready against the third day: come not at your wives."
Isaiah 52:11-12
Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing; go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean[washed/sanctified], that bear the vessels of the LORD. (12) For ye shall not go out with haste, nor go by flight: for the LORD will go before you; and the God of Israel will be your rereward.
We are called to be in the world but not of the world. We are not to joined with the ways of this world. By doing so is to take on "her" evil ways.
Revelation 18:3-5
For all nations[Gentiles/Heathens] have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her[taken her as a wife], and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. (4) And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her[Depart! Depart!], my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins[unclean things], and that ye receive not of her plagues. (5) For her sins[Breaking of Torah (1 John 3:4)] have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities[lawlessness].
Just as our fathers became dependant on "Egypt" we too have become dependant on the ways of the world. Her iniquities. We have become dependent on her ways rather than His ways. We have become joined with her! Our fathers were slaves to Egypt and we too have become slaves to Egypt. Just as they were called out from that place we will also be called out into the wilderness where we will be tested to see if we turn back to Egypt. Paul speaks of this in 1 Corinthians Ch. 10. That these are to be examples to us so that we do not make the same mistake as they did. Paul is speaking to the "Lost Sheep of the House of Israel" those who were scattered outside the kingdom due to disobedience. He is urging them to repent and return to the kingdom. This is the "Gospel of the Kingdom". We remain in exile today just as our fathers were in exile in thier day. Make no mistake about it He will sanctify us as He did our Fathers on the mountain.
1 Thessalonians 4:16
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Exodus 19:13
There shall not an hand touch it, but he shall surely be stoned, or shot through; whether it be beast or man, it shall not live: when the trumpet soundeth long, they shall come up to the mount.
1 Thessalonians 4:17
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught[gathered] up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Exodus 19:16
And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that was in the camp trembled.
Brothers make no mistake about it we are not going "up" into the clouds to play harps and throw grapes at each other, that is Greek Mythology! We will be gathered from the four corners of the earth to restore the Kingdom here on earth.
Acts 1:6
When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?
There are twelve gates into the Kingdom and none of them say "Gentile" We were scattered into the "nations" gentiles, heathens due to disobedience and became like them now we are being called out, set apart for all the nations to see not for our glory but for His. Egypt or Israel?
Ezekiel 36:24-28
I will take you from the nations and gather you from all the countries and bring you into your own land. (25) I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean from all your uncleannesses, and from all your idols I will cleanse you. (26) And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. (27) And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules. (28) You shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers, and you shall be my people, and I will be your God.

Great verses, LWolken.
In addition to those and the theme of "Living in this world and not of it"
"(14)I have given them your word, and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. (15) I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one.(16) They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.(17) Sanctify them in the truth, your word is truth.(18) As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world.(19) And for their sake I consecrate myself, that they may also be sanctified in truth."
John 17:14-19
We have been called to a life where we will be hated for our beliefs, but that is ok for we have a hope that is far more glorious than life itself!

Psalm 24:3-5 Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? Or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul to vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
