Amen to that! :-). I had a Jeep Wrangler in '87 when they were introduced and I had a propensity to lock my keys inside. Could simply pop the bail off the master cylinder, slide it past the weatherstrip, and pull the handle on the vent window.

My old 77 land cruiser has the vents down by your feet that you can kick open. Kick em open and all the dirt, leaves and sand start flying around in the cab. To clean, just pull the drain plugs and hose the floor pan.

That was the AC on my old 77 Ford and I used them a lot on my 92 Ford. I sure miss them and even caught myself the other night tap the floor to hit the high beams. Talk about throw back. LOL

The last truck I had with them they were made out of duct tape. It seems you shouldn't hook your finger on the window latch to pull the door shut.

Ford had them up to 1996. I sure do miss them. I also wish the headlamp dimmer switch was on the floor board still.
