I take jerky sized slices, batter them in a 70/30 mix of brown sugar and chili powder and grill it!

      Best appitizers ever!

Tenderloins and backstraps- usually a teriyaki marinade cook on high heat and baste.

Same here to be honest and we eat ALOT of wild pork throughout the year........ absolute best backstraps I've ever ate came off of a big boar hog we killed in a plowed field in lubbock. the straps had to weigh 12-15lbs a piece and were an easy 36-40" long. I butterflied it and stuffed it full of dirty rice my m.i.l. had made then seasoned it and my f.i.l put it in a pan in his smoker for 6-8hours................a whole nother kinda tasty!!!

I honestly prefer wild pork to deer any day

When I am in a hurry i season backstrap steaks, brown in a skillet and the simmer in cream of mushroom soup. Serve over rice. It's good!

I cut the backstraps out of quite a few pigs I shoot. They eat great. I prefer to grill or bake them in the oven.

It does not sound bad at all. BTW if you gut shoot them you don't have to drag them off. I say stick with what you're doing. Feral hog is a nasty tasting meat.

I could make you something with wild pork and you wouldn't be able to tell it apart from store bought. I used to shoot them and drag them or gut shoot them. Well, I still do, sometimes but I started keeping the freezer full of wild pork now. It's the only pork we eat.

                            Bacon weave 1lb
                            Pork pan sausage 1.5-2lb
                            Orange marmalade 4-6oz
Roll it up. Cover the roll with syrup and brown sugar.

Bake it, smoke it, grill it.
