NO I would not call him! I would load that mount up in my truck and drive to his shop or house or where ever he is and confront him in person!

I'm guessing it starts stinking in a few days too.

You gotta tell us who. I have a lease in that area.

Wow.. My WT was $700 and 8-10 months.... The discount in price isn't worth the discount in quality, IMO.

Not acceptable...and don't be nice about it either.
              You were robbed.
Get as much of a refund as you can and take the horns to another taxidermist.

A once in a lifetime trophy deserves to be taken to the best taxidermist you can afford.
I would never leave an animal with someone promising a 3 week turn a round.
There is NO way you can produce a quality mount in 3 weeks.

$485 is very cheap. And three weeks explains it all. Lets just say thats about $200-250 less than most high quality work.

Thats because he dry preserved the hide and probably didn't flesh it near enough. It's shrinking.

Gotta say that's the worst mount I have seen. I feel bad for ya. He definitely needs to be confronted. Why didn't your buddy tell you it was that bad? Post up the name so no one else uses him.

x2! $500 for a whitetail is low end nowadays. Much less a big Axis Buck
