How cold does it have to be to sleep in?

Tomorrow morning is going to test my resolve for sure. Too early in the year to be battling January temperatures. We aren't going to warm up above 40 degrees today (which would be okay, except the wind is still blowing pretty good out there).

Unless I have other reasons like hungover, tired, or already killed a buck I don't let cold temperature dictate if I go or not.

Now with that being said if it was 5-10 degrees that would be tough, but we never have below 22-24

        Don't be a ****.

It has to be single digits in Texas before I don't hunt.

Probably this but I hunted and skied in single digit temps when I live in NY... Actually the colder it is, the more likely I AM to be out there...

Enclosed blind or pop up, warm clothes and a Mr. Buddy Heater helps on those cold mornings. The worst part of these cold mornings is the 4 wheeler ride to my hunting area! Sometimes it is brutal.

I get to hunt so few weekends, if I get a chance to go, I go - no matter what the weather. I just dress and/or suffer accordingly. The only exception is if there is a high chance for freezing precip - I do not want to get stuck in camp or on an icy interstate.
Cold does not bother me but I do have an upper temp limit - I just can't summon the gumption to get out in the early season if it is 90* plus.

Killed two does Wednesday morning with my Tikka .243 I bought at the end of last year (first kills with the new rifle) so I have my meat needs taken care of. It would be nice to get something with my bow, but I know if I do go out tomorrow, I'm not sitting in a tripod, exposed to old man winter. Pop up got blown over went the front came through. Gunna get it righted this afternoon, but will probably rifle hunt from a box blind this afternoon and tomorrow morning. Friday afternoon I'll give it a go with the ole reliable quest torrent.

I hunted in NC when it was 7. I like it cold, tired of buying all this cold weather gear and not being able to put it to the test.

Man I am starting to believe my deer don't like the super cold. We see much more activity that afternoon after a morning in the teens than we do that am.. It's like my deer say "screw corn...I'm sleeping in." I love cold weather but the older I get the temps below 25 don't turn my crank like they used to when I was younger.

Now duck hunting is a different story because that usually mean new birds and great action...

The colder it is, the more likely I am to get up and go hunting regardless of lack of sleep, hangover, ect.
