    We got em baaaad just down the road from you here in Santa fe. I'm worried even to let my boys out in the back yard to play. They're 4 and 2 so still a little to young for that "they gotta learn sometime..."

                            My daughter put her hand on one the other week and it got her pretty good.

                            A few years back my son got stung by one. I looked up how to get rid of them and apparently the pesticide that can kill them also kills their natural predator some type of tiny fly. The fly lays eggs in them and it kills them when they hatch. So by treating for the asps you will actually get more in the long run.
